The Tc Guven Tdk is a historic vessel with a rich background. Originally built in Germany in 1937 as a mine layer/minesweeper, it was later transferred to the Turkish Navy and repurposed as a diving vessel. Following its service with the navy, it underwent further conversion into a fire fighting boat. The ship was eventually acquired by its present owner through a navy auction and subsequently repurposed into a private yacht, maintaining many of its original fire fighting features.
