Due to very unfortunate circumstances, I regrettably am selling my mercury 50HP LONG SHAFT 2 stroke outboard engine 50:1 mix.
This is a mid 90's outboard and has power tilt (which works perfect) and trim + electric start. It has mercury controls which are very easy to fit. I can show this all working and run outboard.
I only purchased this engine in may this year from a very respectable outboard seller in wales.
The engine was fully serviced with carbs stripped and cleaned etc. New impeller fitted as well as all other parts serviced and gear oil changed I also replaced the prop with a Brand new mercury prop purchased from stitts in islandmagee at an additional cost of £120.
This engine has probably only done 8hrs max this season as its a wrong engine for my fletcher speed boat which is also for sale.
I was to upgrade my boat and fit this mercury to new boat but due to circumstances changing, I can no longer do this and the engine must go.
The price reflects what i paid for the engine back in may less usage. I paid a fair bit more for this engine and it dosent include price of prop. You will not be dissapointed with this crackin outboard.
Sale is for outboard, controls c/w key and new fuel plug.
A BIT OF ADVICE FOR ALL INTERESTED.........

The engine is a 2003 Mercury Optimax 225 V6, 2 Stroke complete with full Smartcraft Technology Digital Guages and hydraulic tilt & trim controls.
I am including a Quiksilver stainless steel 23 degree prop (see photo)
There is approx 80 hrs on the engine from new, and its has always been washed out thouroughly and the first service was carried out by Marine Motors (Mercury Dealership) in Cork.
The engine is controlled via the smartcraft lever & choke assembly, and is being sold as a complete package with all original ancillaries.
It is in extremely good condition, and i have never had any problems with it.
Any test or trial is welcome. |
